RiseMarket.com | Marketplace, Community Experiences, Equity Building Ecosystem

Since launching in 2020, we've supported more than 200 queer creatives across the US.

Through our website, social media and livestreams, Rise went from idea to reality in a few short months. We’ve had the best time getting to know each artist, collaborating with performers and imagining what a feel-good, community-first marketplace could truly look like. And with this beta test under our belt, we’ve got some ideas about how to take this equity building ecosystem to the next level.

On May 15th 2021 we'll be launching a new and improved Rise Market website and community experience. Just in time for Pride Online 2021!

To stay plugged in, make sure you subscribe to the newsletter for allll the launch updates. More to come soon.

We are so grateful for your support! You. Seriously. Rock. [Sneak peek the newsletter.]

    Ryder Knightly

I am a transmasc nonbinary drag performer. I love to use my drag to explore my gender, and to help others feel comfortable doing the same. Outside of drag I am studying sociology and psychology, with an emphasis in gender relations and LGBTQIA+ studies.

I love the freedom drag gives both the artist and the audience to explore their gender. My own gender journey has been paved by my drag and I continue to learn more about myself and my community with it

    Justyn Caze

The name's Justyn Caze and I'm a BAMF with dark, wild eyes! I'm bright, almost neon at times but don't let that fool you. There's demons lurking beneath this façade. If someone tries to shove me down, I'm just gonna fight them on my way back up to the top. Now, if I weren't to succeed, I'll definitely DRAG them down to Hell right along with me.

I love everything about my creative process, but I have to say that I love editing my videos. I've been doing stuff like that since I was a freshman in high school and I finally have a way to use those skills! There's also the routine I have when it comes to putting on my full face, making me feel really confident in how myself and Justyn look.

I love creative brainstorming and artistic collaborations. Whether I'm part of team to make something or I'm just talking through an independent project with others, I just think reaching outside of yourself is such a crucial and exciting part of any artistic endeavor. Although the pandemic has made typical collaborative spaces difficult or even impossible (such as rehearsals for a performance, for example), the virtual world has also presented a new opportunity to connect with people from all over, as opposed to being limited to those nearby. So, even though it has transformed significantly and is still in the process of changing, a part of the process I will always love is art's ability to connect people in really unique and impactful ways.

Femme de Violette | Ithaca, NY

Femme de Violette is an unconventional, enthusiastic queen currently based in Ithaca, New York. She's inspired by the glamorous Jewish women she was raised by, and she loves vintage silhouettes and unconventional materials. While her background and true love lies within theatre, she's also inspired by Lady Gaga and powerful women everywhere. Femme can land a joke, do some twirls, bake cookies, and all look pretty sexy while doing it.

Watch Femme de Violette on QueerExchange.TV - Support queer artists LIVE!

My favorite part of my drag process specifically is creating something through my lens and watching it materialize in my special way. I love the fire that I feel when I get an idea for a drag creation, and watching it come together in my hands and with my unique point of view. So I love the entire process, but if I had to pick just one step, it would probably be when things are just starting to take shape, and you can tell that it's all going to come together.

Buried Treasure Sprouting | Southwest, US

i like to make things because to me creation is prayer creation is what makes us created in god's image we are given the gift of creation. with that gift we have the power to create anything from physical objects like this to our entire realities. capitalism strips that from us so we stay complacent in creating profit for others but this for me is a way to begin to break free from that. i am very thankful for this opportunity grow beyond what constrains me and very grateful for your support~
